A ministry of Grace Baptist Church in Newport, NC
FBN came about as a result of a burden the Lord laid upon the heart of Pastor Clyde I. Eborn to use the airwaves as a means to reach people with the Gospel. After 13 long years of prayer and red tape, WOTJ, the future headquarters of FBN went on the air December 12, 1988.
The main focus of FBN has been to take the Gospel to the world by means of radio. With this in mind, FBN provides quality Christian broadcasts that can benefit the unsaved as well as encourage the Christian in their daily walk with the Lord. This is done by utilizing preaching and teaching programs with only the King James version of the Bible and offering old-fashioned, conservative, Christ-honoring music. Featuring full length sermons, short devotionals, Bible stories and dramatizations, FBN has something for all ages.
The advancement of technology has played a big part in FBN's expansion over the years. For example, a few short years after the first broadcast, with the use of a satellite and receiver, FBN had its first affiliate station, WMLJ, in Summersville , WV. As time went on, other FM and AM stations came on board with our satellite fed broadcast. And then, with our live Internet stream at fbnradio.com, we are reaching people all over the world. It is the most accessible way for people the world over to tune in to our broadcasts. For people on the go, FBN has free Android and Apple apps available for use on phones, tablets and other mobile devices.
God has really blessed us since that first broadcast in 1988, allowing FBN to become a ministry that literally reaches around the world with listeners in at least 230 countries and locations.
To God be the glory, great things He hath done!
